Well, Few days back i had been to my native place..
to experience a completely different day ...
I loved to be in a village.. i had decided not to complain about the power cut offs or the mosquitoes or the strange feeling of all people around staring me . For a change i had plenty of time and i had decided that I'll enjoy my day. May be that assigned my day a different perspective.
Well to start with i observed that many people even after not having much in their life enjoy what they have, i mean they are "contented"...
I met a women who had a daughter ,must be around 5 yrs old . she owned a house, not a big house but yes the women was very possessive about her 3-room-property . She had a small creeper hanging outside her house-with-no-compound. Her daughter was more than happy to help her mom to pluck the flowers out of the plant, till the time i talked to her mom for about 30 mins both of them plucked out the flowers and then her mom made a nice arrangement of flowers and combed her kid and put flowers in her daughters hair.
I was amused to see a 5 year old gal to be so so happy with flowers and not any dairymilk or video games....
Wow... I mean "Being contented with what you have is so nice, it just builds a optimistic nature..."... Bohot funda hua na??
Well m not yet done with it,... One more experience touched my heart...
Me and my parents visited a granny's house, some distant relative of ours. The house was not more than 2 small , congested rooms. Their huge hearts welcomed us n we seated on mat put over the floor. Few people moved out just to make enough space for us.
I saw some hand made paintings put on wall ,a calender and an old mans photograph. Exactly in-front of us an old women was lying on floor with very thin bedding with her blanket on. Her age must be 80+. At first , i could not look at her, i had no courage. Some how i ignored her and sat quietly. Suddenly old women got up and searched for her glasses. Finally even after struggling she couldn't find it. She couldn't even sit properly. She started murmuring that she couldn't see and she can't hear.
One more women in the room ignored her talks and asked us if we were interested in tea or some juice. My mom replied something. I was trying to focus on granny. Her hands were trembling with cold. She couldn't hear what we spoke nor she could figure out who we were.
Few minutes later when we were served with some tea, old women yelled out loudly asking for who we were. She asked if my dad was her son . she murmured her sons name, and said "finally you came back. Look at my position i cant see and hear anything". My dad went near women n said yes i am your son(only to make her happy)... women touched my dads hand, but she couldn't figure out he was not her son. She was very happy. Again she murmured that she couldn't see and hear. My dad went near her ear n spoke loudly( so that she could hear). My dad said "maa, Its good that you can't see and hear. Nothing on this earth has remained worth seeing or hearing. YOU ARE VERY LUCKY"... some where i was moved with his words. As usual old women couldn't figure out what my dad(or her son , by her assumption) said.
My dads words were so true. And most importantly , how a human mind imagines what it thinks..
kisine sach hi kaha hai... tum jo sochte ho, wohi hota hai.. i could see a smile on old woman's face. she was in pain yet she imagined her son to be with her and was happy ..
I have got nothing to conclude.Just a smile
:)
